Chronik

It all began in 1978 as the Minicart Racing Team Rosenheim in the parking lot of the technical college in Rosenheim.

The founding of the club - now called the Rosenheim Model Car Racing Team - was decided on April 27, 1982 and the club was entered in the register of associations on September 15, 1982. The club was founded by 13 people. Initially, they raced on parking lots, but the goal was always to have their own track.

In 1983, a large asphalted area in Wasserwiesen was turned into a track. Unfortunately, we were only able to ride there until 1984, when the area was leased to a company at a price that was unaffordable for our club.

In 1986, the decision was made to build the Mühlbachring in Tattenhausen. Unfortunately, this track had to be abandoned after 3 years due to noise problems.

After a long search and several attempts, the current location at the Bad Aibling highway junction was finally leased at the end of 1989.

The building permit was granted by the authorities in December 1992, subject to the condition that space be made available for a commuter parking lot.

The construction period lasted over a year. Thanks to the hard work of numerous club members, mainly at weekends, the race track became a reality. Once the clubhouse had been completed, the inaugural race was held in May 1994.
